Join us for Boxing Sunday Funday with Coach Daniel!

SBG Idaho boxing Coach, Daniel Marin and Marin Boxing Academy, will be hosting Boxing Sunday Funday this Sunday, July 25, at Manitou Park in Boise. Coach Daniel has spent the last few years building Marin Boxing Academy into a vehicle to not only improve the boxing skills of hobbyists and aspiring athletes, but to lift up the under-privileged, under-served, and vulnerable members of our community through the transformative effects of boxing and martial arts.

Coach Daniel had this to say of this weekend’s event: In recent months I’ve been intentionally nurturing relationships with the community especially after the trauma of last year and how disconnected so many of us felt.  2020 was a tragic year, many families enduring unimaginable loss.  But we’re in this together.  Our Summer Sunday Funday is a space for folks to show up as their best selves to have fun, share laughter, and build their boxing knowledge. Boxing is about mindfulness and technique, but no boxer is good alone, they have a whole team ensuring their success. This will be a glimpse into that work.  Boxing is more than one’s and two’s, boxing is our space for healing.

Join us from 10am until 2pm for Sunday Funday to box, jump, run, play, laugh, and grow together.  This event is free and open to the public, no equipment necessary and all skill levels are welcome. To attend the event or make a donation to Marin Boxing Academy, go to tiny.cc/summerboxing to register.

We look forward to seeing many new faces and sharing an afternoon of boxing and fun with our community!
